Point Solutions Group is growing and looking to add a Senior Financial Operations Specialist to its federal services team. This individual will be working on a strategic program supporting weapon systems and capabilities as a part of an effort under the HQ division of USSF. Job Responsibilities:
- Support programming drills by analyzing proposed programs/capabilities and developing recommended POM inputs.
- Document government program advocacy positions, POM strategies and be prepared to brief senior leadership through corporate processes.
- Analyze and develop written and verbal responses to external units, agencies and higher headquarters programming queries ranging from reviews, program reclamas, and make applicable recommendations to government points of contact.
- Develop draft budget estimates for Execution Plans, Spend Plans, and Unfunded Requirements (UFR) submissions.
- Provide input and/or develop customer directed financial products supporting continuous Budget Reviews, UFR generation, continuing resolution, initial distribution, end-of-year closeout and other ad-hoc and scheduled financial drills.
- Provide informed financial recommendations to HQ USSF, STARCOM and USSPACECOM personnel in the analysis of the financial aspects of space and cyber programs through their life cycles by analyzing budget models based on actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated costs and other relevant factors.
- Provide wide-ranging recommended solutions to improve financial management and accounting practices and enhance internal controls over processes and systems.
- Support full implementation, execution and monitoring of Financial Improvement Audit Readiness protocols and standards.
- Collect, consolidate, analyze, and evaluate directorate fiscal positions driven by financial processes.
- Develop and provide recommendations to maximize resources
- Recommend processes and structural changes to ensure sound financial management best practices.
Required Experience:
- Minimum active Top-Secret clearance
- Bachelors or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment
- 5+ years of experience with working in the Department of Defense (DoD)
- 5+ years of experience with DoD financial management at the Major Command or Combatant Command level
- Experience with budget formulation, analysis, and evaluation of execution
- Experience with DoD federal agency financial management and budget execution
- Experience with using complex financial management systems or other DoD federal financial management systems
- Proven experience in fiscal resource and processes management tools (i.e. Automated Budget Interactive Data Environment System, Resource Allocation Programming Information Decision system, Automated Business Services System, Financial Management Suite, Program and Budget Execution System, Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System).
- Experience with Planning, Programing, Budget and Execution (PPBE) budget cycle activities, including Congressional Budget Justification Book (CBJB) and Integrated Planning and Budget System (IPBS)
- Experience with Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management Systems (DEAMS), certification desired
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 annually, dependent on skills and experience.
