About The Team:

As the Director of Strategy for HelloFresh UK, you will be passionate about helping an industry leader find innovative ways to reach prospective and existing customers; improving overall retention of the core product while supporting the business in finding new avenues for growth. You will report into the Chief Commercial Officer, working closely to deliver structured plans to grow top line growth.

We are after someone who is empathetic, curious and able to generate fresh insight and direction. You will be a big-picture thinker and a natural collaborator. It will be your responsibility to ensure that teams across the UK business are aligned to the strategic priorities of the Management Board. You will support in building these priorities and helping to structure our planning cycles to achieve beyond what we set out to do (3 year planning, OKRs, etc.). You will also align closely with the Group Strategy team, to ensure that the UK is lockstep in delivering its fair share of growth and profitability.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Develop and manage a range of strategy projects for HF UK – including commercial strategies, marketing strategies, vertical expansion strategies and more, linked to mid-term 3 year planning cycles and managed annually via OKR execution across departments
• Develop and manage a team of highly skilled and motivated people, providing mentorship and guidance to help them develop professionally
• Develop and project manage internal strategy initiatives that explore and develop new opportunities for HelloFresh UK to expand its TAM. Work with HF UK’s leaders to understand key pain points and spot new opportunities for growth
• Anticipate and monitor trends in the broader mealkit space, leveraging to solve current and future customer pain point
• Use a strong analytical approach to quickly identify and size new business or market opportunities, scope profitable initiatives, and develop compelling business cases
• Develop business cases to support potential M&A/investments
• Iterate on the right pricing structure across the core price of the subscription and all value added services

Who You Are:

• Strong commercial acumen
• Experience in setting up robust corporate strategies with tangible multi-year results achieved
• Ideally experience of consulting or working within strategy / commercial strategy teams for subscription or food businesses
• Inclusive and collaborative leader, working effectively with diverse staff, and stewarding an organizational culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion, and an ability to apply HF UK core values to all areas of your work
• A demonstrated growth mindset with ability to create and maintain standards of high performance and accountability, and foster innovation, continuous learning, and improvement
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, able to both conduct analysis and scope analysis for others to execute
• Strong project management skills, scoping new consulting projects and managing teams to deliver projects successfully
• Proven leadership ability in a fast-paced, high-profile organisation; with a track record of leading strategic work that has demonstrably had proven success
• An ability to multi-task, and manage multiple initiatives at different development stages
• A natural ability to think strategically about a business and individual topics and issues
• A drive for results and a challenge, being action oriented and pragmatic in approach
• Experience in presentation and communication to a range of stakeholders and the ability to ‘bring people along’ on a journey and meeting deadlines

Location: The HelloFresh Farm, 60 Worship Street, EC2A 2EZ, London

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - hybrid 50/50 remote working
