The Job

As the Senior Manager, New Channel Strategy & Business Development, you will join the Factor Growth team and report to the Associate Director of New Channels. This role is key in driving Factor’s expansion beyond DTC into new distribution channels. You will be responsible for launching and growing Factor across select grocery and food service channels. You will drive the channel growth strategy and win new channel partners. You will partner with Factor teams to on-board new channel partners and run pilots in select test markets.

You will…

  • Develop the growth strategy for each distribution channel and own the execution by developing new customer accounts
  • Craft compelling pitch presentations and arrange product demos of Factor offerings for discussions with potential channel partners
  • Analyze retail sales data and conduct customer research to identify product and price gaps within channel partner
  • Develop and maintain relationships with channel intermediaries (brokers, distributors, sales agencies etc.)
  • Own the onboarding of new channel partners end to end - including product and store identification, contract negotiation, and process integration
  • Plan and execute a pilot launch and testing phase for new channel partners
  • Be the key point of contact for channel partners and work to deliver the best experience
  • Providing ongoing account management support by coordinating closely with Factor Operations, Product and Finance teams
  • Participate in Sales and Operations planning process and own initiatives to address channel partner issues
  • Continuously engage with channel partners to review business performance, educate them about new products, identify potential products to fill category gaps, and suggest merchandising options
  • Work closely with the Factor Marketing and Field Sales teams to plan and carry out campaigns, events, and promotions with channel partners

At a minimum, you have...

  • Overall 5 years of experience in a high performance culture environment such as consulting, high-growth start-ups or scale-ups
  • 1 + year experience in business development in either grocery or food service channels is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of the retail and food service distribution ecosystem
  • Experience analyzing and synthesizing data into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong skills in Powerpoint/G-Slides, Excel/G-Sheet & project management tools
  • Flexibility to travel (up to 25%)
