About The Team:

We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented Inventory Manager to manage an exciting and high-performing team at our new site. A role that will challenge you but also enable you to lead the way at our First automated site in the UK.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Manage a large team of colleagues who will work across 4 shift patterns and ensure that inventory KPIs are met and that effectively coordinate the service and support functions so that operations runs smoothly
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure our customer boxes get out on time
  • Engage and develop the team to achieve optimum performance and for the colleagues to meet their full potential
  • Oversee the receiving, inspection, and storage of ingredients and packaging materials, ensuring proper labelling, handling, and storage practices are followed
  • Monitor inventory levels, analyse usage patterns, and forecast demand to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses
  • Maintain up to date and accurate records (including computerised/digital) on production, food safety data and analyse this data to identify trends, problems and opportunities for improvement
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure timely availability of ingredients and materials for production schedules
  • Optimise inventory turnover and minimise waste by implementing strategies such as first-in-first-out (FIFO) rotation and efficient space utilisation
  • Monitor product shelf life and coordinate with the production team to ensure proper usage of ingredients within the specified timelines
  • Ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Instructions and ensuring that Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are met and sustainably maintained
  • Undertaking audits and following through on actions regarding compliance to Food Safety; Health & Safety Standards and any other specified standards eg: BRCGS, ISO

Who You Are:

  • Experience with working in a supply chain management environment
  • Experience in an FMCG environment
  • Experience with working with external suppliers and managing internal stakeholders
  • Computer literate (MS Excel, Word, WMS)

Location: 1 Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW

Work Schedule: 40 Hours per week (You are free to work night shifts and / or on a weekend if needed)
