Summary of role

We’re searching for a motivated, methodical, solution orientated individual to join our team to deliver a world class user experience through a comprehensive pre/post production quality assured product.

The QA Engineer plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will help advise on the direction of the QA function and work with the wider team to deliver continuous improvement to our current processes/procedures. You will be responsible for conducting tests and influencing our engineers to grow and keep track of our evolving automated test coverage. It’s a hands-on role that lends itself to someone who thinks logically and rationally around ‘real world’ user test cases. An agile approach to workload is required due to changing team priorities over multiple projects. Therefore, we always encourage forward thinking and development of our processes, procedures and test plans as our market reach expands.

We work in a very collaborative way with regular stand ups for team transparency which will help you guide the team through daily tasks and take responsibility for identifying and resolving system malfunctions to meet our quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester.
  • Ability to meticulously document and troubleshoot errors.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to direct the team's QA efforts to ensure focus is always on the highest team priority.
  • Ability to work within typical UK working week hours.
  • An analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Strong organisational / time management skills.
  • Ability to think in the abstract and see how small details fit into the bigger picture.
  • Above all else, attention to detail / a meticulous approach to tasks.


Ideal Skills

  • Experience with writing automated tests
  • Experience in QA methodology.
  • Experience working across timezones.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks
  • Working knowledge of project management / bug tracking software (Jira etc).

Typical duties include:

  • Regular testing of the mobile and web platforms.
  • Logging bugs - with well-defined replication steps and expected behaviour.
  • Supporting communication between product, development and support teams.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to confirm expected behaviour of the platform.
  • Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Help troubleshoot issues with the development team.
  • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.
  • Supporting the strategy for automated end to end testing including defining tests to write and potentially support the coding of said tests.

Further details

  • This is a remote role, however we would welcome a hybrid working pattern
  • It is a full time, permanent position
  • The salary range is £30,000 – 40,000 depending on experience
